I am pushing 518 wheel HP now - HOW much more HP do YOU think the stock bottom end can support?

I don't feel like being the one to experiment and find out !

BTW - I beat a modified viper last night - not bad for a evo !

Heh...honestly, as much as I get in fights with you on the forums al... The night of the 12th is Friday Night Street racing, the sport compact group is embarassing... the regular necks' would literally **** their pants when they see your car. Heh...they would put posters of you up Unforunately its all bracket, and the same guy wins every week with a 20 second slip. He freaking cleans his tires off right before he runs 90% of the sport compact cars run 16s or slower!

Hey AL, are you increasing displacement too, or just building up the 2.0 liter? I am guessing that you are just building up the 2.0 liter, but I was wondering if you plany on even more insane power? I am guessing that the 3037 won't be able to handle really high boost for long at 9,000 RPM with a 2.2 or 2.3 liter motor, but I forgot what you were planning.

P.S. Good luck with the build, take plenty of pics for us! Maybe you can show us the condition the pistons and rods of the engine before the rebuild too! I would love to see what all of the boost and Nitrous and insane horsepower has done to your engine! Hopefully nothing, but it would be interesting to see...

Al,

I think you are our guinea pig!!! How high RPMs are you planning? 9000? Man, I remember ferraris that run 9000RPM. That should be sweet.

Congrats on beating a Viper. You think you can beat him on the highway? That would be tite.

Thanks for your posts, advice, and keep them coming!!! Let us know the condition of your old stock parts!!!

We are all dying to see what my engine looks like when it comes out tomorrow and thurs. it will be curious to see how bent the stock rods are after taking on the viper and winding it out to 8500 rpm and getting a giant detonation !

My red line is now 8500 - BUT - with my new JUN cams and ported head - who knows - the pruven engines all hold 9,000 easy

OMG!!! I want my redline to be 9000 as well. You think Jun cans/retainers/springs will be enough for this?

What kinda internals do the pruven engines have?

I am glad the owner has a dsm faster than mine so I don't feel so bad! It was nice to know I can dust a modified viper at will - my little evo is getting very fasta nd like the guy above said - its hard to tell when you look at it - its very stock looking

If this engine works out the way I think it will its going to be one very fast street car

Hey Al was that the first time you have ever heard the detonation on your car? Also I am curious what tune you were running on the engine. Was it the 400 hp street gas tune, or the race gas tune? Also, were you spraying? No shame in admitting it if you were, still a great kill story, especially since the viper has an engine 4 times bigger!!
