I did - I got ONE run in - 11.62 @121 and they threw me off the track - I need a cage or I need to drive further to a new track (I'm already banned from two around here)

I am confident with a good driver it would go high 10's - (it went 11.63 @ 117 with Dan driving and no spray - I am a meek driver - i shift too easy after having a WRX that ate 5 trannys)

Actually - I am sticking with 2.0 L - after having a laggy wrx this car seems Ok the way it is on lag - I still have to ceramic coat the header and 02 housing and tune the ignition curve so there is more spool up to be found - - - ALSO - I am scared to start breaking gears with more low end grunt of a stoker - finally I want a 8500 - 9000 red line and 2.0 is the way to get that

the engine i am building has the brand new Pruven Performance evo rods; the same Pruven pistons as their orange 9 sec race car; http://www.pruvenperformance.com/racecar.html; the brand new Pruven 1 mm bigger evo valves and and o-ringed block

Al, Congrats on the numbers, and a good confirmation on the Works throttle-body hp returns!

Oh yeah did I mention.......Wow, 518whp!!! Major beefy looking power curve as well! I can only imagine what unleashing that kind of power must be like! :-)

I was playing with my new toys - the Works reflash and the Works thottle body (throtle body kicks major butt)

I was able to crack a 518 wheel HP pass on my stock EVO VIII block and heads

unleaded gas, 22 psi of boost, 50 shot nos

I was nervous the rods would not take it - but it seems to hold 500 plus hp with ease

The bump in the power curve 1/3 into the pull was when all 4 tires busted loose on the dyno - a first for me

Wish I had it on video !

It seems the pruven upgreded fmic is immune to any aount of heat and I make the same base HP no matter how hot it gets - great piece

Hey Al, that's amazing!!!! Are you running the stock turbo???? How did you inrease the boost to 22psi?

Its a HKS 3037 s which is supposed to do up to 30 psi of boost - I have kept it at 22 psi so far with the stock engine - a self imposed limit as i just hate blowing stuff up and though that was a reasonable limit - - it prob could have handled more

I did 28 psi on the same turbo on my stock block and head 2.0 STI set up with the same 50 shot and that motor still runs today ! It only wnet 11.88 @ 124

22 psi is a bit conservative for a 3037 ain't it? I would go 26 right away and see how much power yer pushing.

I'd love to be able to zing this engine up to 8500, I miss my old SR20DE. What goodies do I plan on for this? I'd settle for anything where I don't have to get into the short block.

HEY AL,

I am curious about the engine managment. You have the works reflash and the greddy emanage.

How does the reflash help? Doesn't the emanage change the paramaters of the works reflash?

Is the emanage tuned for racing fuel while the works is for your daily needs?
