Yep!!! 2nd that one. Changed my oil after I left the dealer lot. Yippy!!!

Good numbers!! Glad the stock motor is so strong. I can't wait to see what Pruven does in SCC UCC. I hope they win.. They have all the right ducks in order.

Don't let the dealer find out, if you don't use Mobile1 Syn you just voided your warranty. If you're worried about that stuff, Some people, like myself, know if something happens I'm paying out of pocket.

Absolutely untrue. It's a violation of Federal law in fact. Check the manual, there is NOTHING about requiring the use of Mobile 1. Personally, I love Mobile 1 and will continue to use it because of the protection it provides.

And how are you coming to this conclusion? The bearings from your own car? Haven't you been modifying/drag racing your car from day one? How do you come to this conclusion? Have you pulled apart several stock Evo's with 5K miles who've all used synthetic and inspected their bearings? Or are you using your own experience as a conclusion to this hypothesis?

I am no doubter nor am I hating, I just want to know why you think Mitsubishi is making a poor recommendation to their customers.

I don't understand. There's a huge debate about this, but synthetic oil can't be a serious thing, since they left it in from factory. What do the bearings look like after 5k miles and how serious is it? Or is that statement for cars modded like yours only?

First - I took my rod bearings out a few weeks ago and determined they were "on the way out" at only 6 k miles as diagnosed by a master Porsche mechanic - -

Then I just took another evo engine apart completely and that was a stock turbo evo with 5 k miles = = the engine builder at pruven - who is a master DSM expert - DOES not like the condition of the bearings and says the initial break in is not going well on evos due to the oil

Take it for what its worth - agree / disagree - - when my motor is built ot will get regular oil for the first 2 k miles and then mobil 1

My inital goal I had in mind when I started to think about moding the evo was already met - 400 wheel hp on street trim

Now that i have it - and on low boost - I realize that 450 is going to be possible on 94 ocatne and over 500 without nos on race fuel

I guess I want a 600 plus wheel hp dyno slip and to be the first in 9's with a full interior and a/c

The other less glamorous, but no less important, aspect is the way the maps themselves are created when reflashing an ECU. Since we are actually manipulating the code byte-by-byte, column-by-column when creating our mapping, rather than just adding fixed correction factors, we are able to provide more comprehensive set of maps to work from.

For someone like Al, the logic of having both working in tandem is that Al changes modifications on his car on a daily, if not hourly basis. The Emanage gives him the flexibility to fine tune for those changes -- in particular since many of the parts on Al's car are not currently supported by WORKS flash programs.

The vast majority of Evo owners would be well served with the WORKS Brain flash and various upgrades maps available in our database. When you get into the 500+ awhp territory like Al with extensive mods from a number of manufacturers, a full standalone or add-on controller can be a big help.

Agreed 100% - the typical user would get like 30 - 40 whp gain on the reflash and trottle body alone

Only super nuts like me need to think about adding in extra adjustments - you only pick up a couple of additional hp and you need a dyno

How Much $$$$?

Wow! That's Unbelivable power!

One question, if it's not too personal. How much $$$ would you estimate you have invested to this point? I'm mostly interested in the "go" and not the "show". Just curious how much it costs to run with an Enzo.
