518 wheel HP on a stock EVO block and heads - (how much power can these EVO's hold!)

Had a great day on the world famous www.pruvenperformance.com dyno today - even though it was 90 degree heat and super high humidity

I was playing with my new toys - the Works reflash and the Works thottle body (throtle body kicks major butt)

I was able to crack a 518 wheel HP pass on my stock EVO VIII block and heads

unleaded gas, 22 psi of boost, 50 shot nos

I was nervous the rods would not take it - but it seems to hold 500 plus hp with ease

The bump in the power curve 1/3 into the pull was when all 4 tires busted loose on the dyno - a first for me

Wish I had it on video !

It seems the pruven upgreded fmic is immune to any aount of heat and I make the same base HP no matter how hot it gets - great piece

What kind of gains did just the Works t-body give you? I doubt it is of any benefit to slightly modded Evo's...I'm sure it helps heavily modded ones though.

The Works throttle body is good for a solid 10 hp to the wheels all the way accross the power band and a sloid 10 ft lbs all the way - - it makes that power on any level of tune Evo - and best part there is NO adverse effect - no extra noise - lo lag - no ill effect what so ever - - - it will also make that 10 hp no matter what ocatne gas you use - - here is a representative A - B test on low boost and no nos done today with and without the trottle body

Congrats, Al! Keep it going!

We saw approx. 9 hp at the wheels on a bone stock Evo with just the Aperture installed. Like Al said, there really is no down side to it and the gains get even better when you upgrade the intercooler piping (also coming up from WORKS).

No doubt it will make 9 hp all the way through the power band on any evo - stock - re-flashed or otherwise as the above pulls were done at a stock 19 psi of boost

It does not seem like that much of a differnce on the top side as the HP is at the 400 range - BUT its between 9 - 10 hp at all points from the time it hits boost to red line

As I said above - i love it cause there is no down side to this mod and its super easy to install

Bravo Works a real well made product

Impressive indeed. You guys have built what I want. An 11 second daily driver. I'm slowly but surely gonna get there one day.
