06 IX Fuel Tank ?s
Well I didn't get an owner's manual with my car so two quick ones:
1. What is the size of the fuel tank? I searched and saw 14 gallons, is this right?
2. When the light goes on, about how much fuel is left or how many miles more can I go? This I couldn't find searching...

i personally have gone 37 miles with the light on........and yes 14 gallons sounds right cause the most i have filled up was 13.3 gallons once......she was dry that day....
but its bad to run your tank empty, puts stress on your fuel pump.......

1. According to the brochures, our tanks are 14 gallons, though I recall seeing ONE official brochure from another country saying that the fuel tank was some capacity that ended up calculating to roughly 14.5 gallons.
2. Obviously there are going to be variances from Evo to Evo, but what I have found is that if I fill up my car the instant my low fuel indicator comes on, I usually end up putting between 11.5-12 gallons before it's full, though usually right around 11.8, so do the math. Most people estimate that the light comes on when there is a bit over 2 gallons left, so if you drive conservatively, you could probably pull off 20 city miles or 25 highway miles without worrying too much, though you shouldn't try to push your car like that too frequently.

The tank is 14 gallons, you can fit more gas in but your kinda filling the fill line. The light comes on with 2 gallons left and I have personally drove 40 miles with the light on doing 65 mph. Took 13.5 gallons to fill up

14 gal tank
light goes on at 2 gallons
I get gas as soon as the light goes on, I had to do so today and I got 218 miles and 13.5 gallons (I was on the hwy and thought that this one particular gas station would be cheaper. It wasn't. $4.19 gal)
