A pillar. someone who has help.

so i bought the 52mm a pillar from lancershop i pulled off the stock one and threw on the new one with the guages in it to see how it looks before i wire everything up. my question is how the hell does the pillar stay still? the screws they gave me were no where long enough to meet where the stock one clipped in. is there something im not doing? a freind of my suggested double sided tape but i had no desire to do that at all

yeah you have to re-use the stock a-pillar and screw into that. I tried calling lancer shop myself about it, but go figure they never called me back.

I took my stock pillar off and bought like a 6 inch screw(only 1 needed) to keep the lancershop pillar to say put. Its a pretty good fit. I will have to take pictures.

I bought 1 from autocityimports, and they told me the same "its a replacement pillar" but when I went to install I came to the same conclusion, that it was an overlay. Good thing w/ these guys is I called them and complained and they sent me another 1. A lil apoxi or whatever was used and good to go! Also dont know if you guys have the cut out for the tweeter, but the 1 from autocityimports does!

I need to get a gauge pod also is there any that just completely replace the stock A pillar cause i don't want to use doublesided tape or make it look like a hack job.

There have been many complaints about the lancershop's a-pillar gauge system. Problems such as the one you mentioned and others like the cut-outs not being big enough for the actual gauges.

Does anybody not search anymore? Lancershop is reknown for their crappy a-pillar gauge holder.
