it's a gift and a curse having a black car... i made the mistake of NOT parking way out on my own at the mall... i parked with everyone else up close and came out to a sweet paint mark and dent on my door.

you hoping it was a hot chick giving you her number was hilarious.
but you should be thankful the guy/gal gave you a number to call and arrange things. if that was the case where it happens to me, i wouldn't be so mad. **** happens

the other day I saw an audi dented everywhere and repainted in a really cheap manner, I dont know why I decided to park right next to it. after returning to the car....... what's the term for a door ding that goes beyond a door ding, it was like the ultimate door ding possible with two layers, I dont know but it seemed intentional

Honest people do exist. The problem is: there more crooks hiding among them.

Thats lame. At least she left you a phone number so its not too bad. And its better yet that she may be hot! You should offer her dinner for being so cool and leaving her number...... i am sure her dad wouldn't mind

Hah, I know the feeling. Coming back from England, a day before I arrived (car was with my parents) my Evo was parked outside for the night (most of the nights it is in the garage), and they came out to see scratching all along the right side of the car. Every damn panel, too. It's not too bad (you have to look for most of it) except for the foot long (although thin) dent in the rear quarter panel and about 8 deep scratches in the bumper. Thank you $1800 and 4 days.

Mine got a scratch in the front bumper a few weeks ago, and last week got a ding in the passenger door. I park completely out of the way from anyone else, too.

Glad my avatar is Boba Fett, because my car now looks like Boba Fett's helmet - all scratched and dinged...you should thank the Lord you at least could get it resolved with the chick and her father. Definitely take her out to dinner for being conscientious. Maybe marry her too. A good/honest chick is hard to find.

I know how you feel. Its happened to me three times. Once with my G35, I was furious cause it was brand new and twice with the EVO. Each rear door has one so they match. All happened at work and since then I park in the very last stall, three feet away from the next one. The thing is, A**holes still wanna park right next to me.

Cars are too soft these days. An Evo would not make it for more than a day in large city like New York before it would look like garbage.
