Quick 5 v 6spd question
While cruising, whats the difference in rpm at say, 70 mph for you guys out there?


I'm trying to figure out if the 6 speed would make for a more comfortable daily driver and alittle more highway friendly.

Iirc from brochures, the difference in gearing was minimal though. Like 300 rpm, in which case i wouldnt even bother.

70 mph 3.2k rpm. 5 speed definitely needs the extra gear. But its good when you need to switch lanes...turbo spools right away =P

Which 5spd? Big difference from the 6spd 6th and IX 5spd 5th.

even the 6spd needs a 7th gear for the highway

It's a two liter. If you want to cruise on the highway at 1800rpm, buy a vette...
