I just called a local Mitsu dealer for trade in value on my IX SE
I fell out of my chair in shock and laughter. I asked him:
Me: How much would you give me for my trade, 2006 Evo IX SE Graphite Grey with 16,000 miles? No mods.
Sales liar: $19,500.
Me: Fell out of chair laughing and still in shock. Hung up phone.
I was in such shock I just wanted to share.

What do you guys expect when trying to sell your car to a dealer??! Jokes on you guys for expecting a dealer to give you anything even close to the market value of your cars. Car dealers are here to make money anyway they can... one way is from trade-ins.
Did you guys really expect to get a "good" price quote?

I don't expect great prices, but I also don't expect to be raped without lube. $19,500 is totally unacceptable regardless.

Welcome to capitalizm my friend. Buy low sell high. Even the Sharks have to feed their family. Check out the trade in value on KBB. That won't lie to you. I'm actually fixing to buy one for around that price.

I did check out the trade value on KBB. Duh. $25,500 and that's the standard edition. If you can find one for $19,500, more power to you. But, it will never happen. Go to autotrader.com and there isn't one listed for sale in the country with low miles for less then $27000.
