Most I've seen was 335 here in the mountains. That was about 85% highway and staying out of boost most of the time. At fillup I needed about 13 gallons.

DAmn, I get 225 and the light comes on...

And I'm in the breakin period, so nothing over 5000 rpm ever...

I have put 2 tankfulls through the car since I bougt it last week, and I got 18.5 and 18.7 mpg out of them...

I'm in Houston, so they put that crappy ethanol in the gas...

I think the term "space fold" comes into effect at over 300 mpt on an evo . . .

The Evo is rated at 19city 26hwy mpg. If you tune out the A/F ratio, stay off boost, use quality gas, keep the car in final drive, you can see 29-30 mpg - highway. Fuel capacity is 14 gallons. 14x30 = 420 mpt This is how I was able to get 400 mpt on the highway from WV to upstate NY. I was able to make 100 miles with each 1/4 tank...

Also, running a cam combo with a longer exhaust duration helps as does removal of the wing, lowering the car, proper tire inflation, using a clean air filter and, well you get the idea...

I have never gotten 300 miles per tank on my evo. I have noticed my milage has gone up from 240 to about 255-260 before the light comes on since the weather has gotten a little warmer out.

I'm happy when i get 300/tank on my Civic (11 gallon tank)

When I had my VIII I would average 200miles per 13 gallons, best I ever got was 300 all highway from full to "E" light.

My IX just ran 340 miles no highway from full to e-light during break in. Now that the car is broken in it's averaging about 280-300 during normal driving including frequent runs into full boost.
