However, the EVO is a blast ... its like a Japanese Ferrari, I LOVE IT. Now that Brazil produces all the gas it consumes, we have no worries about the gas prices in case the world decides to bomb Iran! Its till 6 bucks a gallon though ... much higher than the US (I dont know why that price is so high and in the US that imports most of the oil the prices are much lower).
Where can I buy that extra tank?

Broke 300 Miles
Just wanted to express how happy I am with the gas mileage of my evo. I filled up the tank and set the counter to zero. I went 302 miles with one tank of gas and no I didn't shift at 2500rpms. I drove around normal (stop and go traffic, highway runs, and some occassional spirited runs). I am pretty amazed considering the size of the gas tank is smaller than average. In beginning I was filling up every 250 miles on the average. Btw, I have 1300 miles on her now.

It's actually surprising comparing with my old evo7 with which i could do more than 175miles per tank at steady speeds and a lot of caring..
With the 9, i'm doing about 250miles per tank with regular driving, a few boosts here and there..
I was only able to do 300 miles on a single tank when i first bought it, that is with no boost at all..

To quote Top Gear, "The old evo 7 had a zippo in the back and you were only able to go 4 inches before you ran out of petrol."

My evo IX als gets pretty terrible milage, about 250-260 per tank. It is impossible to drive the car sanely, it just always wants to go, go, go.... My dsms were fuel misers by comparison.

I get the same gas mileage with my VIII. Im pretty sure thats around the average. I pull 275 every once in a while. It depends on where you buy your gas as well though.
