my car is very consistant..have not driven much highway..mainly in the city and rural back roads. I average 17-19 city, after my tune same 17-19. I feel since the Evo is so Turbo dependant that your boost guage can really double as a mpg dial. when boost goes up gas gets dumped. that is why it seems so incansistant..most likely due to different tunes, elevation ect, to where your dumping more fuel without realizing it.

I drove to New Orleans,La from Ft. Worth,Tx 630+ miles to pick up my Evo 8. On the way back I ran a consistant 80-90 and was getting 300 miles to a tank all highway. Granted this was stock with the occassional 100+ sprint for grins. I wen't about 30 miles out of the way to hit the Casino's in Shrevport La. for a little gambling spree with the wifey and still managed to only use 2 full tanks of gas. After modding the car and a tune by a local shop I was getting **** POOR mileage and a crappy tune to boot. Then I took it to Kevind here on the forums and everything is all better. I would say I get around 18 city and 25 hwy if I don't get carried away!!
