I dont know about miles per gallon as I'm not from the states!
But here in Aus, on my stock VII..I'm getting roughly 300-320kms per tank, I've only had it for a month.

I fill mine up from E and i get around 280miles total. That is about %40 city and about %60 highway. I live in the IL NW suburbs so there isn't a whole lot of stop and go traffic.

Okay guys i'm starting this thread up again, so i want to see what you guys are putting out on mileage, because I don't understand how you guys are getting such good gas mileage. Any tips besides staying out of boost? I can't understand how anyone would get 25 and up miles per gallon...thats just insane! I'm averaging like 16 right now HELP! And i'm only driving spiritfully ocassionally, and most of the time just cruisin staying out of boost. I'd love to be hitting 25 mpg or even close...and to those who hit close to 30s, please tell me the secret

I got 17.5 mpg on my last tank. My best mpg was 27. I got that by doing the following:
Took a long car trip with freeway driving
stayed at 55mph, in 6th gear, and kept the rpm's at 2000.
The idea is you want the highest gear possible with the lowest wind resistance, which basically means stick it in your highest gear and go as slow as possible without stalling. But you know what, driving like that was no fun, and it also caused a whole lot of carbon buildup in my engine. I eventually had to take it in to the dealer for service, because it was all choked up with carbon. The mechanic told me to stop driving like a granny, coz the Evo was meant for spirited driving. He told me to keep it between 3-4000 rpm, and boost it every once in a while to keep things flowing. I've been doing that ever since, and the engine's been doing great.

well, nyc driving, i bet i go into first gear 10 times more than you do too lol...but still i can't even imagine on a long highway cruise at 60mph, that i would get close to 25...oh well gas is cheap right now anyways..might as well have fun while its still cheap!
