I do a good bit of highway commute to work everyday but I average about
20 mpg. Thats in Florida heat with the a/c cranked.
If I really granny it and stay out of boost for almost the whole tank (impossible to do car is way too much fun) i got 280 miles out of a tank once.
*edit* my car is an 03 model though

I get about 260-270 miles on a full tank, city driving, and that's when I baby the hell out of my car. On the highway it's even lower because it's just too damn tempting to hammer down cause you have full boost on tap at 65 mph at 3 rpms...

w/ gas prices so ...WOW haha ... is it still worth going for such a car .. its a given the thing is like a god hahah .. but i mean the practicality will run thin from what im seeing .... sounds like it makes for a 2 car rotation with a nice econo car and a nice evo =P

Btw, for us youngsters 18-20 (highschool/college students) the Evo is pretty inacessable financially. You seem pretty young by your picks. Just curious, are your parents planning on helping you/buying a new car?

but from a gas perspective, thats pretty damn good... did they change some parts up or something? ... cause I coulda sworn it was like 20mpg straight up ...

My car is stock, in all its pig-rich, sooty glory.

Yeah.. I'm 18 and I'm not really affording the gas. I get about 20 mpg if i SUPER SUPER baby the car, always under 3K and cruise on the road at 2-2.5K. It's super crappy, but I let her rip on the freeways. I'm thinking of getting my M2 and putting the evo on standby (weekend car maybe). At least better mileage? Just need to make sure I don't kill myself.
