I got around 330 on my way to Chicago for a custom tune with cams. I can't say I got that on the way home though. On the way up I stayed out of boost the whole time, maybe going to 5-10 psi to pass somoeone.

I went 318 miles on 12.66 gallons of gas = 25mpg. Honestly I thought it was going to be better then that but oh well. Its a new record for me but it took some cheating on hills, I put it in neutral a few times and coasted down to save gas. I did it cause I am trying to see if I am getting bad gas from one of these stations and thats what is causing my misfires. So I have a full tank of 94 in there now and Im going to reset the ECU.

My mileage sux' the best I ever got was about 300mi when I was breaking in the engine. Now (16k mi) I'm lucky if I get 180mi out of a tank. Oh and the worst I got was about 75mi a tank.

May be it would help if I drove with the windows up?.... But I can't stand driving with the windows up....can't hear anything... feel claustraphobic...even at triple digit speeds on the freeway (um I mean CLOSED COURSE) the windows remain down. hmm maybe that's why my mileage sux'!!!!

Actually the 8's now have bigger gas tanks than previous evo's. Anyways, i average around 25-27 mpg in city streets.

i actually thought about it and i get pretty crappy gas mileage, it really doesnt bother me though as i knew this when i bought it, this car downs gas faster than i can fill it , its what i wanted , all performance not gas mileage. i coulda stuck with my honda hatch and averaged 35mpg , but Cmon its a freakin EVO

I say 19 to 20 mpg for 12 gallons in 2004 RS then the light goes on indicationg 2 more MPG left. So 240 miles and have to think about filling up. Its better than a sport motorcycle but less than most cars range. A gallon of water is 6 to 7 lbs each. Considering gas is oil based..Its lighther so 5 to 7 lbs range, somewhere in there. You save a little weight there. If you dont like to pump gas then it could be a problem.
