How's you gas mileage?

I have 800 miles on my 05 EVO and been breaking in pretty hard and never past 120miles/ full tank. SO thats about 10 miles to gallon. anyone experiencing this too?

"been breaking in pretty hard" - if that means just boosting around town. thats probably why. i get 16mpg i go 200 miles then fill back up or put 10 bucks in. I had better gas mileage when i was breaking in the motor. i got as high as 220miles before the light comes on.

120 miles to the tank is horrible! it must run extremely rich at cruising speeds. Did you break it in properly?

Have about 12000K on my '03 and I've been averaging 19-20 mpg. Do noramal driving, some highway some city and get about 235 miles per tank. I get around 300 with all highway. I've noticed if driving the car hard just around the city I only get about 170 miles per tank.

Yeah, I kind of noticed the lack of highways in Alaska while I was in Sitka, Alaska last March. They had one highway that was mostly a two lane road that went from one side of town to the other with a speed limit of 40 mph. I think it was called hwy 14 or something. I remember feeling sorry for the guys with sport bikes there because of the lack of highways. Beautiful place though.

no I dont have an EVO but with one guy getting 15 MPG and another guy getting 160 miles on a 14 gallon tank that is amazingly bad. Especially when the advertised economy is 19/26. Adding to this, one of the biggest effects on fuel efficiency, assuming similar equipment is driving style. I understand that many people have mods, but also given the stories of people practicing 6k RPM clutch drops, and street racing, my mental image remains unchanged. I am not trying to say that everyone with an EVO drives this way, which is supported by the people who get normal EVO gas mileage, and that many EVO drivers are older than 30. And certainly there are non-EVO drivers that also drive like *** holes. One friend of mine drives a miata, and he drives like an *** hole.

Here is my suggestion.
Buy a TurboXS UTEC and the remote switch. You can have it tuned in multiple settings, switchable on the fly. Go for a mileage setting, a race setting, a street setting, a vallet setting, and a cut-out setting.
A mileage setting will be lean and if you push it, it can fry your engine.

By the way... Do your mods first.
