Since I got my EVO afew weeks back, I seem to average about 220 around town. It does need a tune up though so I'm sure that will help some. I went to Ocean City MD this past weekend and was getting about 26mpg on the highway just cruising.

None of those are bad really. I'm lucky if I see 200 before the light comes on.

I usually get 260-270 miles on a tank; mix highway and city. On a trip from Seattle to Louisiana I got 27 mpg on a tank. That was the absolute best; all highway miles, no high revs, and a few hills. That was all stock by the way.

~270 is about when I need to start looking for a place to fill up. The past few tanks, ive averaged 22-23 mpg.

The most I ever got was 250 and that was on a 2.5 hour drive to the beach. Usally I don't get over 230 day to day driving.

+1 on that, it's like that in every car I've driven the gauge for fuel seems to go down a LOT slower when it's on the first half, the last half of the tank seems to go down in a much faster pace.

I've found this to be true. I don't think the topic is meaningless...you can save some good money if you have to drive cross country by keeping it right at 70 mph the whole way.
