I use 91 octane. Yesterday I drove from Fresno to Coalinga with the A/C on. It's a straight shot on flat roads. I drove at between 55-60 mph and shifted at 2700 rpm. I currently have about 85 miles on this tank of gas and I'm a smidgeon below full. I figure that driving this way (which is a royal PITA ) will yield me 28-29 mpg on the hwy (maybe 30 mpg w/o the A/C). I'm bone stock. I've noticed that even small bursts with full throttle and full boost really suck up the gas quickly. It's no fun, but with gas pushing $3.70/gallon for premium I don't have a choice. With as much driving as I do, I can save $20-$30/mo. on gas by driving like a grandma.

I am right around 23MPG average which would be around 320 miles to a tank if I drove it right down to that last drop.

I don't recommend it since your fuel pump uses the fuel for cooling in the tank.

I think I might have set a record. I pulled 423 miles off a tank of gas with a base map tune from Mark French while just breaking in the new engine. Thing is I had 2 more gallons left when I filled up.

Damn!!! 423 miles from 12 gallons?! >> that's 35 mpg. Must be 14 gallons with hwy driving right? That's still more than adverstised at 30 mpg.

shock as well but his a/f must be very lean and he must be driving at night with the windows up\no AC, straight road, a tail wind, no boost, little variation in TPS\Speed

This was on normal driving. A/C was on sometimes. AF was in the 15.5 - 16.5 range on part throttle.

Do you have an AEM or utec ? 15.5-16.5 ??? Is this a cruise map that you switch to and keep throttle below 50% ?? I'd like to see this kind of mpg
