Mike Reichen's EVO 2 in September's Hot Rod Magazine

The car actually went to Maxton short a ton of power. Due to some last minute issues the old school HKS 272 cams had to go back in the car. Those are far from optimal compared to the cams that should have been in the car.
It was a pleasure talking to you as well Jim, I'd love to hear some more of the war stories you have! Hopefully we'll have a chance to give those parts a whirl/spin at Maxton or Texas later this year.

Awesome..
Its actually not the first time Hot Rod has mentioned an Evo (in a positive light) but I think its the first time they included any tech info.
I actually think this is the second article that mentions this specific car as I read something last year too.
I honestly cannot imagine driving that fast for any sustained period of time.

Hey guys thanks for the good words, I feel this is one of the bigger goals I set for myself and it sure feels great to accomplish it !
I have several more big goals set for this year but with the way everything is going this year I just don't know.
Indy evo /Jim- I talked to Ron the other day and he told me that you two had a great conversation and that you have plenty of great info and stories to tell. It would be great to either talk to you or meet you sometime.
I am very proud that you think that we will put these parts to good use and I assure you they will def. be tested and if they perform as good as they look everybody better stand back. Thank you very much !!!!

Jake I do not have a mullet , and I also don't have any Tial shirts.
Jmartinez- at the race in Maxton the wind tunnel data had still not been implemented so yes there will be a bit of gain there.
The main thing is to get the car back to it's regular power output and get off a clean pass. I am pretty sure it will go much faster just the way it sits.
Jrod- I am prepping the car to come down and play at your race, we will see how I do as I haven't drag raced in a year or so.

Spark tech- Thanks alot, I have been hearing nothing but the best about your equiptment and may have to give you a call when I step up the power some more soon. I just don't think my old ignition can handle what I am planning to throw at it. I hope you have stuff on the shelves because you know I will need it at the last minute.

Hi Mike...I've seen nothing but GREAT things you've accomplished I've got the Pro-14 sequential fire cdi system that would go great with your program. With the sequential stuff you'll be able to retard the critical cyl a couple degrees which would be really benificial while holding the pedal to the floor for that long. Give us a call and we'll Spark it up
