That's exactly what it is.

When I first bought my first bike (R6), I thought it was the fastest 600cc bike in the world. I told myself: "There's no way I would ever top this bike out".

3 months later, I was red-lining in 6th at about 163 MPH. 3 years later, I'm ready for a 1000cc because a 600 is too slow.

I see ya got an 04, if you want quicker spool and want to stick with the stock turbo get the 10.5 hotside ported/coated, O2 Housing, and intercooler piping.

But yes, as stated before, you're just getting used to it.

go get 'em

yeah i feel the same way...if i only had more dough for upgrades. if you still have the 9.8 hotside, i'd save up and go straight to an evo ix turbo upgrade or better, believe me...i went the 10.5 hotside route and after a few months i want to upgrade again.

Get a beater and drive that during the week, then your Evo will feel fast every time you get in it.

im not the OP, i have a 9, and its more than fast, only thing i have left to do to it before i would have to go to a bigger turbo for more power would be meth.

My vote is do both. Get a beater and get the evo built / tuned on Ethanol. There is a guy in town running ~420 whp on a stock turbo, an ethanol tune and 31 PSI. Sweet!

he might be making 420whp, but im pretty sure there are plenty of problems that will arise soon enough if he doesnt at least get the thing built with forged internals.

i took my car out on the highways today (friday evening) and everyone has their imports out. it was nice to show off a little. my car is a bad machine, but damn, i could use a little more up top... (cams... soooon...)
