I think I have the same rattle, sounds like a metallic clicking, however it occurs more in the colder months. Could never find it, so I just live with it.

If the cel is flashing at about the same time as the rattling, then your knock sensor is picking it up as knock. You more than likely have a cel on knock patch in your rom. The cel will flash after a certain load and number of knock counts. I would really get under your car and check your exhaust, stock or not. It makes sense that it does it more with the AC on, cuz that generally causes the motor to vibrate quite a bit more than it does off.
