can someone please answer my questions about the top of the dash board?
do i need to take the whole dashboard out to the the top portion off? (ie, screws that can only be accessed from the back maybe?)

sorry for thread jacking but this could insipe the author
I imagine that all I have to do is pull the D bolts and that is all the holds the dash in place? most of the work will be just removing the surrounding panels to get to those bolts. I also noticed that the dash can slide OVER the top of the steering wheel if I want to take it out.
Im just worried about the amount of wires and the airbag...
do I have to unplug and remove the airbag?
can i get away with tilting the dash forward to access the two C screws on the back holding the top?

I'm sorry, but there is no way that the dealer is going to replace the dash. It's just not going to happen. Your dealer can tell you that all they want but when it comes down to the nitty gritty they have to go through the district rep and he will laugh at your dealer when they ask for permission to replace the dash. You will probably get a couple free oil changes or some crap like that. But than again, I could be wrong but since this exact same thing happened to me I don't think so. Good Luck.
