agreed. 3 gallons of 87 with the whole rest of the tank on 93??? Since your car can run FINE on 91 that shouldn't be a problem at all. Unless you have a tune for strictly 93. some states don't have 93, would they sell the car there if it wasn't ok? No.

This sounds like a 16 year old girl complaining about a tiny zit on her back before prom. RELAX

lulz @ this thread.

normal driving is fine. hell, i know alot of people that run 87oct and meth so they save $$$.

only time you should be worried is if you boost on 87. thats all.

stay out of boost, and you can run 87.

You'll be fine. Might notice a slight difference, but its good excuse to drive it around extra to run out the gas

I think it's funny that a lot of people recommended getting an octane booster.

1. 3 gallons of 87 octane mixed in with 10 gallons of 93 octane wouldn't have hurt anything at all. Seriously, even if you are tuned. 93 octane maps are done conservative, regardless of who tunes you. The reason is because 93 octane varies from pump to pump. Come on, guys. Don't be naive.

2. Most octane boosters contain MMTs, which are about 100 times worse on engine parts than 87 octane would ever be.

OP, next time just specify "fill it up with premium" and be sure to watch as the attendant starts.

Anyone else old enough to remember being asked "Regular or unleaded?" when getting gas at a full service station?

You know whats funny? I bet you still pay 50 cents more a gallon for 91 octane in CA (self service) then we do for 93 octane here in Jersey (Full Service). LoL.
