Reverse gearing

Has anyone else noticed that the reverse gear in the Evo seems to be a slightly taller gear. I notice dthat when backing up, especially if you're doing a tight maneuver or backing uphill it takes more RPM's to keep the car from stalling. I'm not sure if it's the gear or the power steering sapping power but if I don't keep the RPM's up it stalls easily in reverse.

yeah, I have some slight issues backing up and out of my driveway occasionally. Maybe it's just a characteristic of stick cars? I dunno, this is my first manual

I've had quite a few 5 and 6-speed cars and none has ever had this issue. Usually reverse is geared very low. Maybe it's just the black ones. =)

Maybe it's the 2F2F reverse gear in mine....for high speed reverse roll-outs under the trailer of a semi.
