Special in a way that you can't classify it along with mainstream cars such as the 3 series, c-class, g35. People who buy those cars are more often than not, non-enthusists, whereas people who buy Evos are. Remember that Evos have minimal creature comforts, vulgar looking, and costs over 30k; no one in their right mind would chose it unless they know what its capable of and enjoys it. This is true for I-IX at least.

Word... my BBY gets me a lot of attention. A TB or AS Evo can drive down the street un-noticed. Not a BBY....

everyone in Cali has an Evo or a bimmer or something that catches the eye. stockers don't get that much attention by the trained eye. i don't know if special is the word i would use, but it's the uniqueness that makes people turn their heads twice. i see evo's everywhere,\ and the only reason i do a double take, unless the car really is different, is because i want to see if i know the person driving it. i'm pretty sure it's like that more or less like that in the bigger cities. that and of course the wing is a pretty big eye catcher, sometimes even in the negative way.

my boyfriend recently was getting ready to sell his evo8 .. for a new tsx.. or a 335 ..or a new maxima- pretty much he was certain thats what he was gonna get, then he ended up getting the evo x like last minute

i feel the same way ! its not just you! a beemer or a benz are awesome cars inside and out for sure.. but an evo is just unique, and def special, it has that wow factor lol

p.s. so glad he got the evo

Any car that with more than bare shell and chassis is already enough creature comfort, imo evo has too much already

I have a c300. Not a c350 but close enough. The evo and those two other german cars are total opposites. I use it for a daily. One of the most comfortable cars i've ever driven. 7 years of german engineering since the previous generation supposedly. If i were to do it again i would've got a NEW 335i instead of a c300 if i could afford that. I had a choice between a used 335i or brand new c300. I chose the c300. Used cars arent my thing though. But if i were you id get the evo. Just a different feeling that you cant experience in any other car..(no homo)

how many times does this need to be said you dont buy an evo for creature comforts. and you dont compare an evo to a bmw there completely 2 different cars for 2 different crowd of people.

people who fault the evo for its lack of creature comforts are people who dont understand what an evo is for. they proabbly bought an evo to be cool and now are wanting to buy a bmw to be cooler.

BMW's and Benz are watered down. You think the Evo is special for a couple reasons:

1) It was in a movie. (As riced out as it may seem, you don't see F&F4 comming out with a BMW as a main car do you? BMWs are NOT cool, they are the luxurious and status symbol cars. The Evo is cool.)

2) Everyone and their grandma /grandpa has a freakin' BMW or Benz. You see them all over the freakin' place. (Henceforth the "watered down" part.)

3) You don't see Evos a lot simply due to the fact that old people don't want it as much. (Unless of course, they are in midlife crisis.)

And like what a lot of other people said, BMW / Benz and Evos are made for totally different people. Just same price range, thats about the only thing they have in common.

I'm sure a 335 equipped with a manual transmission can be fun to drive as well. I doubt the C-class in any trim can be fun though, unless you drove it off a cliff.
