being that the car was "PICKED UP AT AN AUCTION" should tell you the car was previously owned and mod'ed by a previous owner, carfax is not 100% accurate, they have admitted to this before, be grateful you have mods on your car already saves you some money, just a mechanic check up and tune and you should do whatever you want to thst car.

I doubt you're the first owner and I doubt the dealer modified it. Think it's possible that it was bought back or repo'd and never got registered to its first owner? That'd be my guess

i've never heard of a dealer md=odifying a car that comes in. most of the time they're trade in cars with some minor things done to it and the dealer just leaves everything on

Hawaii Mitsubishi .. Modifies their cars... I was visiting to check out the EVO X and they had one on the showroom floor, it had aftermarket side skirts and Axis wheels. The sales rep said the Manager put them on and I found it to be quite tasteless . So yeah.. Dealerships do modify cars. Oh and the cars price was marked up as well.

Ok. YES, dealerships DO modify brand new cars with factory and aftermarket accessories before selling them. Not all dealers do, but many do as it is a great way to sell cars. Yes, Carfax does suck and, in this case, is very inaccurate. fox2boost, check your pm.
