factory MR temp gauge stopped working

............ as soon as i read this thread that very day i noticed my gauge had stoped working... i dunno how long its been out... but occasionally it'll work. most times i notice now its not.. lol

i have a defi oil temp gauge so i really dont care.. lol i'll jiggle some wires when i have time...

I remove all 3 gauges and reground the black wire, it works everytime for me, and make sure the gauge is tightly secured.

btw, what is everyone oil temp on avg crusing and racing condition?

mine read at 70 degree C racing it can go up to 90 degree C.

in the cold winter it reads under 60 degree C.

clean the plug at the oil pan with carb cleaner.

I've never had that problem with mine. Darn it, why did I say that. Now mine is going to break. Damn Gauge, Damn Mitsu.

mine shoots all the way to hottest right when i start the car...dono what the hell it could be.

I have a quick question reguarding the factory gauges. Is it possible to reuse the wiring for them when replacing them with aftermarket units?

Mine did the same thing after my last oil change. Apparently, someone at Grease Monkey tried to rip the oil temp sensor line from the plug when dropping the oil plug. I checked with Mitsu to get a replacement sensor and they said its not sold separately and that I neded to purchase the entire triple gauge assembly to get that one part!
