Driven both and own a evo. A good friend of mine had a 335i chipped with a intake impressive I will say. But a evo will own it in everything you asked besides #3 more paractical imo of course and btw he traded that in on a 08 m3 2 dr. I prefer the m3 over the 335i, but again I would say the evo in all the questions you asked beside but again #3 but it would be a lot closer challenger.

I vote evo but I'm biased, hahaha. But i would like to add that my dads 05 330i was really crappy in reliability, the radio and other electronics burned out and it was like $5000 or some high *** ridiculous number to repair it so he decided to trade it in and bought himself a S550 way better than the BMW. Although this was about a year and a half ago I recall that it wasn't as fast as when I got my evo with cat-back, no way in hell could it catch it even on low boost.

I've only driven a 335xi. It's defiantly a VERY nice car. If I owned BOTH cars, I'd DD the BMW and race the Evo. I love the 335xi though. It depends on what you want from a car.

I think the evo looks much nicer then the 335i. And overall performance, Evo is much better and cheaper. With $50k, you can get yourself an 05 evo and put the rest on mods and you got about 500whp on fp red turbo. For DD, I love the raw power of the evo more then luxuary. For interior wise, the bmw is much nicer.
I think you could got a better comparision between an evo and a supra. That would be a much closer poll.

to answer your question about who would win, leave off the damn bov and gauge when asking, that doesn't give you power....I'd say you'd probably pull the bmw slightly, though it wouldn't be a beating since it's only an exhaust, an intake (and since you haven't mentioned a tune it's not going to help you with just a tune and no intake) and hotside.
wow thanks everyone for all the info i love the way this pool is going...if you wanted me to id start an evo vs supra poll...i could actually turn it into a mega thread EVO VS.____ that would be awesome and very benificial to most ppl
thanks again everyone for the input keep it comin- nick

Define "better".
If faster is "better" then the Evo is better. If having a well rounded car that does more than go fast well is "better" then the 335 is.
Now I know what website I'm on but, having owned both I feel like I can compare the two. I love both cars but, for different reasons.
The Evo is definitely the more mod-able of the two and is the more performance oriented one in stock form. If your are taking aftermarket it's no comparison. All that's out for the 335 power wise is basically, exhaust, tune, intake and IC. That's about it.
The 335 offers the level of performance vs. luxury trade off I was looking for. It's nice to turn on your A/C and be able to pull away from a light with out bogging or slipping the clutch and have things like heated seats, nav, etc...

let me put it this way... I know a certain person who works for a certain tuning company that is well known in the Evo world who just bought one of these so the tuning company he works for can start making parts for it. draw your own conclusions.

335i is a sexy car. I must admit if I were ballin Id sellout easily . Not even for the "faster" factor. I remember when they first came out I saw a few with aftermarket wheels and I was envious.
Then again if Im spending 50-60k I could spend my money more wisely on something lightly used. Only Ballers dont have to worry about comparisons.
