well for starters, in a 335i, you cant hear the wind oozing from all doors, and windows as soon as you go above 30mph, you dont have to fight the shifter into the 2nd and 3rd gears, the dashboard doesnt sound as if its about to fall apart like a Lego set, and the roof doesnt sounds as if its about to cave in on you as soon its a chilly day outside.

Bringing this back from the dead, and maybe to help the OP out with his question since it doesn't seem to have ever been answered... Your car should rape a stock 335i. I ran against a stock one at the local drag strip and he was behind me by a full second at the traps. On a closed course, I went head to head with a different one with unknown mods. I gave him the hit every time. He downshifted at about 60 MPH and then I would give chase. I would stay with my head lights beside his tail lights right up until 100 MPH and then I would start to walk away from him. He would always let off just as I would put my front doors even with his head lights. We ran 4 or 5 times form around 50 MPH to upwards of 130 MPH each time and every time with the same results. I really would have thought those cars would have more in them than that.
The only power adders on my car are:
- GSC S1 cams
- HKS EVC 6 (23 PSI, tapers to 18 PSI by 8000 RPM)
- AMS 3 inch turbo-back with a restrictive oval muffler and a Mil.Spec 100 cell cat
- Megan Racing O2 Sensor housing
- Ported exhaust manifold
- ETS 3 inch FMIC
Stock flywheel / clutch / airbox / IC piping.
93 octane.

Hmm,
I come froma 2007 335i, JB2, Spearco Intercooler, Custom Piping, Borla Exhaust, injen SP air intake kit, HKS SSQV.
Did digital calculations, and it was around 400HP.
ALl around GREAT CAR. SMOOTH ride, Quiet, and deffinetly a chick magnet.
I had a Reiger lip kit, and Polar 19" wheels.
As for reliability, lol.
I Never really had any major issues, just the basic faults from " mods".
Dealership never cared about the mods though
Now, if I went to mitsubishi dealership with a Chip, Aftermarket i/c, tune, ehxaust, intake.. im sure they'd say something.
The BMW was a true luxury sports car. Thats what you got with it..Quiet, Sleek, and fast.
the evo, a true "race" car.. you get what you pay for
Both amazing cars..
I liked the BMW more. Im more of a comfort freak. But the Evo looks better

My dad has a 335 and wanted to sell my ix and give me the 335. I had to turn this offer down. The 335 is an absolutely fantastic car, but I had to stick with my ix. I do not think I have ever had more fun driving any car more then my evo!

BMW is German which = unreliable and expensive... as a former owner of 4 Audis and a Porsche my Euro love died watching my yearly repair costs equal the amount spent on payments on nearly all of them (not even joking )

Odd, I find the German cars on top oif the reliability lists.
Never had anything bad with them
We put 80k on our old 06 750li and all we ever did was oil changes every 7500 miles.
Car ran beauitfully..
the 335i needed constant reflashes, but still ran fine.

chimin in a lil. i got a friend who is a bmw master tech. he had to change one of the turbos on a 335i n he swears that was one of the hardest jobs to do. u have intercooler pipes runnin behind the motor n all type of bs. very complex job good thing the turbo went under warranty. didnt tell me the price but i can jus imagine.

also 2 friends that have 335i coupes both have the fuel pump/long start problem. both 07. power potential for the bmw though r crazy the last huge whp 335 i read about made i think 430whp with 490tq. could go anymore cause the injectors were maxxed out not the turbo. intercooler w pipes, bov full 3" exhaust n a helluva tune. stock block n heads. but if u add all that up us evo owners could have bought a Ams or buschur long block with a fp red for that type of money.
