anyone install 9006 bulbs in there evo?

I thought it they were all 9006? I have an after market kit. 8000k, no problems with the police. But its only been a week so, who knows.

ahhh, well someone did say the 06's have 9006 so maybe thats why....did you have to splice into your existing harness?

if you have blue lights that flash on ur car the cops and right you a ticket for impersonating a police officer. had a friend who had an ex cop car, and got pulled over for playing with the spot light. depends on the area you live, but TN its illegal to change the color of the lights such as side markers and brake lights. headlights, they dont care. i see hondas driving with purple lights all the time.....gay ricers. lol

ix gsr is 9006 and no cops dont give problems

Its the temperature that cops would give people crap about. The 9006 has nothing to do with it.

I have a IX GSR (no hid) and purchased some 03 lights just so I can have proper hids. I don't want to be blinding everybody with a PnP kit. I've never come across a Pnp kit that wasn't blinding.

Also like the OP discovered, it's not worth putting 9006 HID bulbs in a D2s housing. There would be some wiring involved and also modifying the back of the projectors themselves.

I bought 2 sets Phillips (+) bulbs for like $70shipping on ebay.
