HELP. Evo withdrawal!

As some of you may know I recently sold my mint Electric Blue Evo 9. I thought I wanted to move into something more luxurious and "grown-up." Well, that lasted about a week. I test drove a bunch of nice cars: 2007 Audi S4 and RS4, 2007 BMW Z4M Coupe, 06 E46 M3, and 06 SLK55 AMG. They were all pretty great and sounded amazing, but I was never fully satisfied after wards. I had to cross all of those RWD cars off the list because it snows in Chicago 5 months out of the year, and I wanted the reassurance of AWD. So the only two choices were S4 and RS4. The RS4 was badass, but was going to easily be twice the price of an Evo, and i don't think I can justify that purchase with the current economy. Only thing left was the S4. It had a beautiful interior, but didn't feel like a hardcore sports car.

So I guess im looking to get back into an Evo. Don't care about the image or interior quality. I just want that smile on my face again when I hit boost. Plus, I have a paid off Lexus GX470 when I want some luxury.(although its mind numbingly boring to drive)

There are amazing deals on Evo X's, but I feel the 9 will be more timeless, and sought after in the future.

Anyway, the point of my post is, what do you guys think is a fair price for this Evo 9 MR SE?

It is Graphite Gray. 5,800 miles. One owner. Tanabe 3" TBE, Halman MBC, walbro 255lph, and ECU tune, all installed about 1 month ago. Also comes this Pioneer navigation+bluetooth installed: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...n-Dash/AVIC-N5

If I can work something out on that car, I might be rejoining you guys soon.

I know. RS4 is amazing, but very expensive. What do you guys think about the gray Evo I posted in the original post?

seems to be a lot of guys selling their evos, and then getting back into them.

rs4 was underwhelming. s4 is a joke, a 335 feels faster

Why did you sell your Evo in the first place? Sounds like an expensive decision no matter what you do...

It was loud and harsh. I wanted something more comfortable to daily drive.

And if your looking at RS4's and can afford them, go look at the E92 M3. That's my car if I ever get a raise

I've driven the E92 M3 as well, but I figured the RS4 would be better because of Chicago weather.

hmm... With the economy the way it is, the smartest thing to do would be to just drive my paid off Lexus, but there are so many great deals on cars right now its hard to resist!!

Just wondering. Why didn't you test drive all of the above cars BEFORE selling the Evo?

I have considered those, but never driven one. Most of the ones around here are either auto or have that ugly *** wood trim.

I'll look out for a 6spd coupe with brushed aluminum trim though.

To get back to your question....an Evo 9 MR SE with only 5,800 miles!!! That is a no brainer. I think its got be worth $27-28K. Evo 9 kills the X all day!!
