A litte paranoid about them driving the car, yes? Hahaha. When it comes to recalls, tech's see so many of them, the last thing they give two ****s about it going out and beating on the car. Especailly with flat-rate pay. They'd rather just make money.

Fuel Tank Bracket Recall

There is a recall for some Mitsubishi vehicles. As far as I know, the Evo's aren't affected. It calls for the inspection of the left/rear fuel tank support bracket. Apparently, the support that the strap bollts onto may have been manufactured with a weak spot, and this weak spot may crack, causing the fuel tank to possibly drop in the event of a crash. Not all recalled vehicles will have this defect, and if this defect is found, a reinforcement is added to repair it. To my knowledge, only the PS Platform (Eclipse, Spyder, Galant and Endeavors) vehicles are recalled as of Sept, 2008.
