in 3 or 4 weeks im going to get around $6K and i want put that money on my evo...

i was thinking on a FP Red turbo, front lsd and more stuff... what do you recomendme??? i want to hit 400-500 whps and i want start with this money!!

Note: I have right now money for a good clutch!!!! the $6K are Clutch Free!!!!

You don't need an AEM EMS for your goals, and 880's with an HFS-1 or 5 kit by Aquamist would be perfect. I'll be doing the same exact thing except I'm running 950cc injectors. A little more than what I need but that's okay.

I'm going to be selling my SMC Meth kit for 250 If you're interested. But I would do FP red, 880s, meth, mbc. Ditch the Megan manifold and get a stock ported mani. And a tune ofcourse. You would still have money to spare also.

 

im new on performance parts for evos... i was thinking on cooling mist or devilsown kits.... the SMC is a good kit??? why you sell???

 

Your first goal should be to pick a tuner in your area that you want to be "your tuner". Then tell them what your goals are for power, what you intend to do with the car (daily drive, highway pulls, drag, open track days), then ask them to give you an estimate for all the parts, labor and tuning time.

The list should look something like this (with approximate prices):

- custom reflash tune on stock ECU, $400
- 880 injectors, $400
- ported stock exhaust manifold, $250 (and sell the megan mani)
- FP EvoRed and install kit $1800
- BR Green/Red install kit for Evo VIII, $150
- BR LICP, $200 (sell the injen)
- BR, AMS, or similar stock fitment intercooler, $600
- BR, AMS or similar UICP, $250
- EVO 9 BOV, $200
- Nisei or PPI mini battery kit, $250
- HKS 272, GSC S1 or simiilar mild cams, $600

Plus labor if you don't install everything yourself, $500

That puts you around $6600 . . . and good for ~400whp on pump gas.

To save some $$ sell the parts I mentioned, or skip out on the UICP and mini battery kit, or try to pick up as much of it as you can on the used market. . .

It will be easy to find used cams, used BOV, used intercooler. . .

If you just want a list of the necessities -

Turbo, $1800
injectors, $400
tune, $400
install kit, $150
cams, $500

Total - $3250 without labor. All the extra stuff really adds up quick!

thanks for that list... i want a drag car... 1/4 mile car... i can install everything.. and i want to tray tune the car. i am a good SRT tuner but i am new on evos... thanks for your help... right now i have Evo IX Bov....

then with that mods i can get around 400 awhp on 91 gas??? and how much with 110 or C16???
