Recaro Seats in the Evo VIII???
So I love the seats in my Evo, very comfy. But I've noticed a lot of people complaining that the plastic piece on the back of the seats has cracked or is currently cracking. Mine recently cracked and it's pissing me off. Whats the deal with this? Do you have to buy an entire new seat? or is there a place to get a replacement piece? Who else has had this happen? Btw..my car is still under warranty, is this something that is covered????

Not one problem on my seats, on my VIII or IX, I have had my IX the longest 2 yrs only had the VIII for a year and a half. But what hapends to me is the rear vent peice about mid way down keeps popping off. My kids sometimes kick the seat when in back and that piece falls off all the time, you think seats that cost that much would be a little tighter, haha. Anyway, there are part numbers for the Recaro seat backs, I seen them at the Dealership when I wanted to replace those vent pieces. Don't be surprised if that back piece cost $800 or so, not installed. Crazy! I think the seat is like $2000 a piece if not more. If your car is still under warranty I am sure they will replace it unless its obvious you had someone in the back kicking the crap out of it...

Hey Spish
Where did you get those Recaros? Out of an Evo III? If so where did you pick them up? I like those, way better bolstering, and obviously are JDM all the way, do they bolt right up to our US railing? or you have to modify the railing?
