from what I've been seeing your better off with 93 and meth over race gas. It is also cheaper E85 is the way to go, but it being hard to find is a deal breaker for most.

as for race gas, use Q16 or Import. Both uber expensive. You can also use meth with them, but I didn't see much of a gain. Probably allowed a litle more timing, but I was pretty maxed at that point anyways.

if your gonna go race gas use VP import orQ16 like someone mentioned. for VP import your looking at $125.00 for 5 gallons and for Q16 your looking at $85.00 for 5 gallons. i dont see it being worth it. how long is 5 gallons going to last you in an evo.

you can buy 2 M1 methonals for 80 bucks, mix 50/50 so you just spent 80 bucks for 20 gallons of meth mixture.... seems a lot more practical. but if money isnt an issue and you have about $375.00 to fill up with race gas then go buy vp import

Q16 FTW

im to scared of meth or alcky....you never know when it can blow your engine up...dont trust those failsafes

just go VP....im thinking about going VP IMPORT in the spring

meth is very safe when set up properly. key word PROPERLY

What are you using it for? They both have pros and cons but meth is not a substitute for race gas. For the street meth is fine but you need to spray a bunch of it to equal the octane of race gas. For road racing you would need at least a 3 gallon tank to make it work. IMHO, use E85 or race gas and call it a safe and simple day. AMS doesn't sell a meth kit anymore, just saying.

im thinking about making the switch to q16 myself. right now im running VP MS103 unleaded race gas+meth and its doing quite well so far. i just have to wait till i get my double pumper and 1000cc's before i make the switch. the only thing im scared about is burning up my o2 sensors. the front one is cheap, but if i have to start changing out my wide band then that could get pricy. so anyone running q16 100% of the time have any imput on the o2 sensors? and what about q16+meth? just to help cool things down?

if i ever went meth/acky i would go with the aquamist no matter what...that kit seems properly set up and seems to perform well....i would not go cheap when it comes to meth kits

aquamist is definately the best kit out there

In ohio I would run what is easily available E85 or leaded 110.

2 summers ago I ran race gas every day, and I loved it. My IX made 355whp/400wtq with just TBE, MBC, FP, and intake. I got lucky because there was a gas station a mile from my house that sells 110 octane from the pump for $5.30/gal.

c16 or Q16 is my choice .. im not a huge meth fan
