JustDSM for the flash. He tunes a lot of the local guys in Colorado. He tuned my IX via email and I'm extremely happy. No BS and a great tune, you couldn't go wrong.

PM me if you're interested and I could let you know how to get a hold of him.

There are some others on here that can vouch for him as well.

Moding is like drug usage. More than likely this is just the beginning. I would change out the LICP as you upgrade the intercooler. In fact if your goals at the moment are 350 at the crank I would change out the LICP instead of the intercooler. The LICP will improve spool up and at this point in the game a $700+ intercooler isn't the best bang for the buck. Although the AMS stenciling does look kick a$$. Perhaps a TBE instead of a axel back. You'll see improvements in gas mileage as well as power. A drop in filter will add to that effect and as members have suggested above a MBC and a tune at 23/24lbs will easily put you at, if not over your goals. Might even save you some cash.

You could really save a lot of money and get more bang for your buck if you buy used parts from this forum....Unfortunately you have to beware of scammers. Sounds like an exciting time for you. $1400 can get you a far ways nowadays.

I made 329whp for un 1k, although IX's make a little more power. Used turbo back exhaust, O2, LICP, MBC and open air filter.

Join us at ColoradoEvo.com and you'll find everything you need. I own the site and will get you in touch with a local tuner that KNOWS how to tune for this altitude. If you really wanted to, you could join 90% of us running E85 and putting down 400 to the wheels.

Id wait on an intercooler, use that money to pick up some cams, with TBE, intake, MBC and tune.

how about a boost gauge, controller, a used exhaust off this forum's marketplace, fuel pump +/- although stock will suffice at this stage, decent tune, and probably ditch the intercooler idea - doesnt seem bang for any buck at this stage. you will notice a huge difference. good daily driveability.

Shooting for 350HP @ the crank, I'd go with the following. This assumes you do not want to switch to a MAP setup (as generally you're going to need an EMS or comparable system, which drives cost up.) I've included a rough estimate of prices as well.

3" Turbo-back Exhaust (~$1000) [Partial to the sound of the Buschur, myself.]
Buschur Racing Filter Kit (~$80)
Hallman Pro MBC (~$85) [Personally, I wouldn't go beyond 21psi.]
Boost Gauge & Mount (*)
Walboro 255lph Fuel Pump (~$120 w/ the install kit)
HKS 264/264 Cams (~$650)
Reflashed ECU (~$300)**

So you're looking around $2300-$2500 + install costs if you don't do it yourself.

* This can depend a lot on how much you care about an accurate boost gauge. I'm partial to Defi, but they're a bit pricey. You can get a Megan for like $60.

** I'm guessing on the price. Mellon or Buschur both do great jobs with mail-in tunes I hear, never priced them out though.

You get all of that used for half the price. Classifieds ftw
