omg another thread. stock turbo is fine. we tune cars all day with stock turbos and seen numbers such as 414, 410, 401, 416 and so on. just add some cams, meth , MBC, TBE and a good tune.

This ^, but you dont need cams to accomplish this. I have about 420whp right now without cams.
Fujita Intake, UICP, Injen LICP, HKS DP, Invidia TP, HKS TiC, Hallman MBC 30psi, Innovate Wideband, Labonte Meth kit w/ failsafe, Forge DV (red spring), Walbro 255, and ....
A SICK 4WS tune Cause I spit Hot FIRE! = 400+ whoop *** power

$4000 is cutting it close, start with simple boltons. intake, tbe, upper and lower piping, cams, injectors, boost controller, fuel pump, headstuds. pussing the stock turbo on pump with a good tune youll be at about 350 and itll be reall snappy. if your not happy than go with the red and thatll put you over 400. and youll still be close to your expense.

^^^ good advice - I would try and max the stock turbo and see how it goes, then after you have the bolt-ons, turbo upgrade. A 350whp DD is a fun car and often does the job - Dont rush into big money upgrades just yet, 400 is not too hard to get -

I suggest you keep modding until youre happy with how the car feels or until you achieve a 1/4 mile time youre happy with. Setting a horsepower goal is next to useless now a days with how some people run them.
My suggestion is to look in the drag racing forum, see what people are running and what parts it took them to get there. See whats popular and whats not then make a decision on your own. Once you have an idea what you'd like make another thread and let people give help you decide whats good and whats not.
If you'd like my opinion shoot me a PM and i'll give you a list of what I think is best for you. The most expensive isn't always the best.
Cheers!

35r isnt overkill its got great powerband and you hit 400 EASILY ON PUMP! no meth needed therefore fewer variables to go wrong.. get it.. its a better investment.. adding another element like meth jsut gives more that could go wrong..
big turbo has better power band on high rpms band never falls just rises
pluss its nice to look at!
yea and you powerband looks like a mountian.. up then way down before redline..
no thank you!
Its vaporized into you upper ICP and then cools and creates a more efficient colder combustion...
dunno what to say.... how ur powerband look..
i say red...
