If you race the evo you will appreciate more. However it will understeer just as bad as the STi if pushed too hard. The steering is so fast that I find myself slowing down my hand speed on courses to keep from blowing out the front wheels. The two cars stock for stock are very close and it really comes down to the driver.
When the mod button is pushed tho it seams like the Sti gets left behind.
Differential wise the subaru does have better differentials than the evo, not durability so much as power to the ground coming out of curves. Both cars are vastly superior to the electronic locking diferential of the bmw's , to my limited knowledge the 135 and 335 both have the locking dif which is basically an open dif ...so peg leg burnouts ftl!
Now that you have an Evo. Its necessary to put it on road courses and autox's. consider this the 'walking the dog' chore of ownership
