All I know is I need a clutch, and I have never taken my car to the track, or did high RPM drops. I have 10k miles and my warrenty claim was denied by some dude name Matt in California. This is the same guy the approved the claim b4 they took the car apart.
They claim that the pressure plate and fly wheel has marks that look like they were caused from high rpm drops or clutch racing , or even mis- shifts.
Quick question .... I took the car in for a slipping clutch, and they told me that they didnt feel it. I drove around for 4 more days with a slipping clutch. In the 4 days of the clutch slipping it got progressively worse. When the car was cold it would sometimes rev up to 6k rpm when I floored it to get good acceleration, the clutch would finally catch up and grab. Wouldnt this cause grabbing marks on the fly wheel and pressure plate.
Never again.... and I thought things would be different because the Evo was a special car. The funny thing is that had the nerve to ask for as much as 15k over sticker, and have twice the nerve to deny warrenty claims.

Correction:
YOU are the FOOL that paid 45k for a souped up, riced out econobox and that's why they felt they could charge 15k over sticker.
If you have a bad clutch and it isn't engaged, you think that revving to 6k will help? Please. That's the same as a 6k dump.
Stop whining and pay for your own clutch. The Evo is a performance car, you can't come to the game hoping for honda reliability. Stuff breaks. Deal with it.
