under the hood, yeah. there's a diagram on the underside of the fuse cover. the two that are of concern are the two that are marked with pictures of an engine.

Get the alternator tested for sure. My gurl had the same problem with her sunfire, lights dimmed and radio turned off was well as all power to the car. Turned out that the alternator was toast

If its not a fuse, I suggest that you take it to a shop. Its very hard for any of us to correctly diagnose an electrical issue over the computer.

Its not the alternator! If the alt. was shot you're car wouldnt even start.

Sounds more like a fueling issue over anything...

might be an intermittent crank sensor problem. check codes. it should still store a code even if the light isn't on, assuming you didn't disconnect the battery or it didn't clear itself. check for fuel pressure, rpm signal, and codes. good luck.

there are 2 fuel pump relays under your dash. swap them out with identical ones like the horn or fog light relays. does your door chime work? make sure every connector is plugged in in your fuse panel. and check your fuel pump connections at the tank.

Its rare for a FP to die.

I would check the 15amp engine fuse under the dash.

had a similar thing happen to my 1G... it was the cam angle sensor. I'm assuming a crank position sensor would cause similar symptoms.
