clutch slips at launch???

ir have a 9MR with justo under 10,000 miles one it, just some basic bolt ons and self tuned , so not to much power, i dont do launches or drag, just track days i am nice with the clutch, but yesrerday i did try to launch and the clutch just spined and lose all the power.

The launch was hit the two step and lifting the clutch 5000 rpm

My question is the clutch is bad or am i to faithful on the stock clutch?

Adjudting the clutch can help??

no i dont think it was hott at all, it holds ok in all gears it just slips on launch and its the first launch.

My 1st turboed sentra ser was sold with 40,000 on stock clutch and the second turboed ser had 34000 before i sold it and buy the evo so i am a nice person on the clutch

with a few bolt on and tune, you might be around 300whp where the stock clutch might give out with about 10,000 miles. Plus launching the car is what kills it.

You're probably slipping the clutch too much. I have the same problem when I attempt to launch. I drag the clutch too long and overheat it. All of first gear is nothing but slip. Do this too much and you will need a new clutch. Just try being a little more aggressive with the launch with less slip.

stop trying to launch your car since you obviously dont know the correct way to do it. TRYING to launch you car is what kills it. if you can properly launch, the stock clutch holds up fine.

Sounds like the clutch surface got glazed.......under the heat and slipping it instead of dumping it......drive it around to get the glaze off of it, then try again.....10K is nothing for the stock (Exedy Material) Clutch....
