I'm not exactly sure. I just figure it can't hurt to ask. Worst case you're back where you are now.

Lucky you lol, this is my daily driver, so I'm glad they're giving me a rental. They were like, "what kind of car is it?" So I said an 06 mitsubishi evolution. And the lady was like, "ok we'll try to give you something comparable." So I told her, it's kind of like a sport's car lol, so I said it would probably be best if I got something with good gas mileage. That's the only thing I have to pay for is gas for the rental.

same thing happened to me. they said they would be giving me something comparable... i told them they better throw out the corvette or something. i ended up getting a piece of crap charger. and not even the srt model. how that is comparable in their mind beats the hell out of me.

I figured since I gotta pay for gas, I might as well take advantage of that and get something fuel efficient. I'll let you guys know what they end up saying tomorrow as well as what rental they give me.

Sorry your car was involved with idiots like this.

That's not much damage at all tho seriously man. The door will need a new skin and some fresh paint, but it will look brand new again. They should be able to fix it in a day or two.

Well, I dropped my car off today and they gave me an 09 galant for the rental. It was that or a pt cruiser, chevy aveo, or dodge caliber. They said they'd have to replace the door skin and that they've gotta order that from mitsu, but if they can get one soon, I may have my car by monday. As far as loss of value compensation, they(geico) as well as my insurance company(esurance) both told me that as long as there is no damage to the frame, it will not make the car drop in value. I find that hard to believe because if I had to choose between 2 evos, same mileage and condition, but one had a fender bender, I would definitely get the accident free car.
