****ty weather
so i drove across country from 29 palms, california to upstate new york and thought all was going to be good since its only novemer lol. thought wrong. i got to ohio and hit a snow storm. ****ty. and now that im in new york it hasnt stopped snowing yet. dont get me wrong, with just all season tires the Evo handles great, but and im most likely going to be buying snow tires we'll see. i just hate having this car in this kind of weather...

the evo did great the whole way here. she drove strong. i think the roads are more ice right now than they are snow, we'll see what tomorrow brings. so the car will just have to stay in the garage until then. might head to Binghamton tomorrow to do some shopping or what not. cant wait til we get a big snow and i can take the car out in that

i definately need to buy a daily driver or just not come back up this way in the winter time. i think when i leave here in 2 weeks, ill just go see the family that i got in VA, and then come back up here in the spring

OP, having a winter car in this part of the country is a great idea, not necessarily due to the snow. It's the salt left on the roads by the local municipalities that'll eat through the car, corroding everything from sheetmetal to forged suspension bits. Once the salt gets in, the battle is over.

i cant stand that. i think id just rather stay down in VA till the spring. then when i do come back here, wash the car every other day, and make sure i rinse out underneath the car. i think thats the cheaper option
