I know its the winter season, and a lot of people end up NOT driving their evo's in the snow. But who drives it anyways, even though there is the EXCESSIVE use of salt on the roads?? it bothers me, but i have no choice cause i cant afford a daily driver right now. i was just wondering....who else?

I moved up to snow central three months back...first thing I did was bring up my beater, a trusty 2001 Mirage. Evos may handle well in snow, but a dropped one navigating a road full of ice chunks is not my idea of fun.

I love my Evo but I am not rich nor independently wealth so it get driven in the winter and run thru a car was 1 a week. It gets the under carrage sprayed down and that is all i can ask for. I own an 04 that I bought from my brother in law and this will be the 4th winter my evo has been thru.

Honestly I see both sides to the idea of North East winter driving:
To drive the evo in the snow or keep it as a garage queen for the winter?
I think those that say drive it in the snow are either basically stock (not a huge amount invested in the car) or cant afford a second car (not everyone has a beater) or are just loaded and don't car about winter damage.
For myself...I drove the evo for one winter back in 2004 with really nice Toyo winter tires...and the car was sooooooooooo much fun. However after buying a beater shortly after and investing 20k in mods into the evo.....I find it much more comforting to have a certified "garage queen" these days.
