Anyone ever looked into how to put a diamond star symbol in the OEM location without the bracket. Like its floating. I'm trying to think of a way to do it. And yes I know I ressurected this.

I had a 06 evo mr and I took the emblems off the back and on the front. In the front there are tiny little cut outs in the grill so you couldn't even tell the badge was ever there once removed.

i took mine off. bracket and emblem. you HAVE to take off the bumper to get to it. the grill piece comes out with a few bolts+screws to make it easier to get to the bracket. my dremel broke, so i had to use a drill with a dremel bit haha. i cut it out and then ground it down so it looked smooth. the sprayed it with gloss black so it wont rust.
getting the bracket off the grill itself was kind of a pain as i had to grind the welds on the grill that were holding it to the bracket. so it is missing a couple lines of the grill in a few spots, but it doesnt really look bad.
the bracket on my car had a chip in it and was rusting, so i felt i had to remove it. i couldnt sand the rust down and spray it behind the grill so i just took it all off. plus the mesh grill on the center section had some chips in it from rock so i just resprayed all the grills with gloss black and it looks great now.
ill be putting pictures up soon. i also de-badged my trunk as well.
