sorry to raise this thread from the dead but if i was to get rear ended with a jdm rear, would they get the same bumper or put back on a brand new usdm rear? because i know they like to keep it oem at insurance and body shops

I just wanted to answer you questions if ITS NOT INSURED THEN they dont replace it. like if i have 27 inch rims on my car and i get in a major accident they dont replace those because they were not insured by them. thats why some people when they buy expensive mods you go to the insurance company with a receipt of sales and they add that on. Thats what state farm does and once in a accident they cover the car plus the extra if none added guess what SOL

if you have a crash beam your are fine , whether it be modified or not, it's not like adjusters have pictures of what its supposed to look like. So if you have a metal beam stretching from side to side you most likely will be fine.
