Oh yeah by the way i got the cams a few days ago. Thanks, everything was in perfect condition. I havent installed them yet. Im still waiting for my fuel pump, timing belt kit, and headstuds to come in.

It was good doing biz with you scheides. +32132754275385348765

Noticed you wrote that you made minor modifications to make those fasteners fit. Those fasteners look like real nice pieces, what modifications did you make and to what pieces (lip, underpanel, etc)?

And those dzus fasteners, how do you mount the square looking piece?

Awesome dude! Man, I pulled up to a friend's house the other day and my new cams are not dialed in yet....I walked inside and they said, 'oh, heard you pull up but it didn't sound like your car' ....I miss those cams! They will serve you well my friend!

There are 4 nuts attached to a mounting bracket that goes in front of the wheel well. I pulled those off. The four holes where the tow hook panel cover mounts to the main tray. I drilled those holes out (just used a bit that looked the right size). The three holes that hold the rear section to the main front section, I had to drill those holes out a little too, so I could fit on those square pieces you're talking about. Those just slide around the edge of the pannel, and the fastener goes through it.

It's all aluminum so it this is all *super* easy work. I was telling a friend just now that I think that I spent less time installing it and fitting the dzus fasteners than I would have just installing the pile of regular allen-bolt hardware that came with it.

4-8" of snow coming here tonight, so it'll get put to immediate use....

I had a HKS GT extension kit on my EVO with this undertray and it did fit but the downpipe made a bit of a groove in the underpanel.

Same with my v2 megan downpipe for my 05, it hits right in the center of the 2 pieces.

Gave this thing a good test last night, we received a bunch of snow here in MN. Large snow/ice chunks in the road, some small drifts, and unplowed stuff, 4" or so. Undertray works great

I was thinking the same thing - I may buy a set of 4 to try them and see how they could work with the stock under tray. These fasteners could make life much simpler...

thanks for posting the link for the fasteners

Yup yup, they would probably work with the stock undertray, but if you're taking it all apart anyways, why not just go for the Beatrush? MAP has a bunch in stock right now, I saw them when I was there picking mine up. It's xmas, spoil yourself, and protect your car....

Excellent job on the install!! Just a quick clarification, you listed you only need to do 4 fasteners for an oil change. I am assuming you are dropping the rear panel and I always have to drop 5 screws 3 then 2. Am I correct?

Also Which fasteners on that site did you actually use???

They are stronger, easier to remove and install with bolts. When I first installed mine the very first thing I noticed was how stiff my front end became since it ties both side together in a sturdy structure.

I only used the 4 corner fastener points, the middle one is basically reduntant and I just left it off.

This is the actual auction that I used:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=200273287716

You can get them from kurveygirl.com, too. The important thing is that they are 7mm wide (not super important, you can always drill holes bigger!), 12mm fastener length, and 15mm overall length. They are the 'snug fit' fasteners for ducatis.

Aero seems better designed, overall it is flatter, stronger, and it all comes off really easily once you put these fasteners on! Also it goes back farther, covering the oil filter (good for protection). If you wanna know why I wanted one of these, look here:

but this pic says 1000 words:

I don't think this is actually true. It doesn't mount rigidly enough to any body structure pieces that would actually accomplish this. It might help a *little* but not much. You're probably feeling the better aero

Also, just so I don't get spit on by someone, I am not the first to do this.
