The problem with the stock uicp is that it expands to a great amount under boost. The stock couplers are bound to leak air when they expand that much. That is why most people, including myself, buy an aftermarket uicp. It is not for the performance increase, it is to prevent boost leaks. Yeah sure, they also look nice too.

I bought the Injen set up with the UICP and the LICP.
Not sure where people say the UICP does not fit without modding it fits just fine. You only need to take your time installing the thing. Also I have not had one issue with the MAF either.
I actually love the whole Injen set up. It looks nice and I still noticed a power increase over stock though mostly on the spool of the turbo (waiting on TBE before I tune). I do not have a dyno to prove power but I can say the whole system fits fine and there are no MAF issues. I think it was worth the money spent.

Injen UICP fits perfectly on stock battery.
Injen Intake also fits perfectly with Stock UICP(need new recirculating hose)
I bought mine used Injen set seperate.
Bought Intake first then went to UICP.
Not really happy with the set. Gained bov noise but also gained flutters.
This UICP is just for show.
I think AMS,Buschur,ETS short route helps little due to shorter route than stock but its not worth the money.
To me all LICP look same to me(being about 2inch shorter than stock).

doesnt the upper intercooler pipe not matter as much as the lower? the lower intercooler pipe helps out more and if you are looking for a stealth look you should prolly stick with the stocker unless you dont care. it prolly doesnt affect it all that much when the couplers expand

the upper ic pipping from what i read does little to nothing in terms of power short route long route does not matter its the lower ic pipe that does something. spool of turbo. so the lower one is important but who cares buy what ever set you want ams br injen ets muse fighters garage etc. who cares long as you like it and its suits your needs if we all bought what people say i THINK is better there would be alot of clone evos. buy what you want and be happy or leave it stock just think at least you have a EVO alot of people still trying to get there first one.
