I didn't say heated seats was a necessity for anyones survival
I'm just pointing out that your comparison isn't valid considering wood trim wouldn't warm ya up when you're cold.
I've lived here my whole life and after owning a couple of BMWs & Audis I definitely can see the benefit of heated seats, no matter the car.

Just like a remote start, you don't need one, you could just go start your car 15min earlier... But sometimes the 18" of snow we got last night makes you wanna watch your car warm up from the kitchen in some sweatpants!
Too bad i dont have one of those either!

The GF would like heated seats but ill deal with it, I would rather figure out how to make it nice inside. Problem is I keep figuring out how to make it stop faster, turn harder and accelerate faster instead.

i would love to have heated seats. i had them in my audi and on long drives i turned them on low heat and it makes your back feel so much better. and when its cold out it warms you up faster than any heater does. as for people complaining about putting them in why are you so against something nice in the evo??? because i have an evo i cant have nice stuff on the inside?

that did look like the kit, good luck doing it yourself if you go ahead with it. they are def. a great idea for any one who lives in a cold area. they heat up fully in just a minute and really are relaxing on a long drive home from work
