Evolution MR badge stolen!
I am so angry that I can barely speak. Some bastard stole the MR emblem off of the trunk of my car (for those in the Westchester area, this took place in the parking lot of BJs in Yorktown). I am compulsive about my Evo, although I do use it as a daily driver. In parking lots, I always park it far away from other cars (to avoid door dings). I use my wife's car if I drive to the City, as I wouldn't park it on the street, and don't trust the garage attendants. I went to BJs for 20 min - came out and saw that the badge was gone. The jerk who stole the badge, needless to say, was not careful and scratched the hell out of my paint in prying the badge off.
Putting things in perspective, this should be my biggest problem, especially in this economy where people are losing jobs left and right. But I am still pissed.
Here is the burning question. Should I replace the badge?
I am torn - on the one hand, I really liked it (the evo part blended into my black car and the red MR really stood out), and getting a replacement would certainly cover up some of the scratches. On the other hand, I don't want to replace it if it will just be stolen again.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

i personally like debadged evos but of course thats just me. its unfortunate that some ***** scratched your ride over a damn mr badge. if your extremely particular about your car and its appearance (like myself) then your not going to be happy until it looks the way you want it to. if that means buying another badge then do it.

I would just replace it.
I'm the same way about my car.
Chances are it'll be fine, and if it's gone again, keep it off.
I had some guy last year that was drunk [wasted + leaning - passed out standing up] on my car at my work and scratched pass. side qtr. panel with his jeans rivet.
Left a 4-inch gash in my paint down to the metal.
Strip club is next to the Rest. I work at.
It took all I had not to beat this guy senseless.
He was so wasted though, I just couldn't do it.
I felt sorry for the guy, been there. lol
He stumbled off into a cab, so I guess- lesson learned.
I haven't parked on that side since.
